yeah...hard not to laugh & cry. 11 on 11 and that happens.
it didn't matter in the outcome of the game, but Lewis & Sawyer got a lot of this on the night as well...
but their QB certainly had it easy the whole night with lanes and slack coverage...

Well at least we didn't tackle or block our own teammates like some other sec east school likes doing, so we got that going for us which is nice.
We also didn't tackle or block anybody else either so...

That picture was probably taken in the 4th quarter. Not a single stain on that man's jersey.

Not sure if anybody noticed how heavy and slow we looked at times. On the opposite side the bulldogs were slimmer and quicker which gave us problems. The ball game is always won at the line of scrimmage, I don't know what the hell a "run fit" is but maybe it could be a few things.
1. Ball Awareness- A good option would be to check the QB/RBs eyes because they stare down their direction right before the snap.
2. Energy- Since we are so chitty on D, gang tackle and don't ever initiate a block. We can't make solo tackles anywhere on the field.
3. Never give up- This should be our mantra this year. Instead of letting things get out of hand, play harder to compensate for the overall lack of talent that we have. In other words step up the hustle and try to disrupt anything you can.

I listened to 107.5 The Game, and Andy Demetra pretty much reiterated what you just said this morning.
I am pissed now, but if this team starts to give up and play with no effort, I may very well lose it. Guys need to have some guts and testicular fortitude and give it everything they have, every snap.
We need somebody to step up and be a DJ Swearinger-like head hunter. One who gets on his own guys and knocks the hell out of the other team.

Speaking of Swearinger, I heard somewhere he said he wasn't watching another Gamecock game this season.

He tweeted Saturday night that he was embarrassed by the lack of effort and fight the guys put up. Said that he wouldn't watch another game until the guys stepped it up and played like the defense of old.

I typically do listen to that station but not this particular morning. I hope that maybe a few coaches listened to what Andy had to say bc he is spot on.

Demetra is great. Said we need a spark, need some momentum, and pointed at that we could... could potentially be 3-2 with LSU coming to town 10/10/15.
Mizzou is definitely winnable.

Me too. I have a framed pic of him after he laid the hit on Andre Ellington in 2012, and I glanced at it last night thinking we don't have anybody with anywhere near the swag and attitude that he had.

But, but he's a "thug" with an attitude problem and we don't need them kind on our team
Heard that one way too many times when he was in garnet and black. I'd take a team full of those boys any day. You may outclass those guys in talent sometimes, but you'll never out work or out hustle them.

I heard stories from the sidelines about how DJ would get in the defensive huddle when we were playing poorly and would flat out tell the guys, whether it be Clowney or Gilmore or whoever, that if they didn't bust somebody's arse, then he was going to do it, and he would bust their arse too.
