I honestly thought he was; not so sure now. ( Auburn has a lot of injuries, and that matters even tho we say no excuses). Is it the lack of talented players or is it WM's scheme that is hurting Auburn's defense?

He can certainly kill an offense. Seems he's done that before. Now he's killing defenses too. Unfortunately, it's his own this time.

I began to have doubts his last year at Texas. He's better than Steele.

Hopefully we'll see improvement over the next nine games. You can't make chicken salad out of chicken shite.

He has zero recruits. he is still having to use the left over garbage. Wait until he gets a few of HIS recruits under his belt to make an assessment.

Muschamp's track record proves he is good at coaching defense.

Auburn's struggles on defense are probably stemming more from their shitty offense than a lack of quality defensive coaching.

JJ is so bad that it's affecting the team at every level.

I think once he gets to Auburn, they will be much improved.

Your opinion man, and don't tell me shite about Baylor and Clemson. When has Steele ever coordinated a defense with the talent he has now?

We have to give him a year. He did what Saban did when he got to Bama, he has ran off everybody that didn't have the physical ability or mindset to fit his scheme. Between running them off and the rash of injuries he is definitely behind the eight ball.

He's absolutely a top DC and is likely the best DC in CFB. He will need some time to implement his system and get the talent he needs. People that say otherwise are insecure A&M fans or bitter UF fans who conflate his terrible offense and discipline with defensive performance. His record speaks for itself.

Sounds reasoned and fair to me.

You can put people in the right places all game, if they wont tackle, there's nothing you can do as a coach.

Isn't that the definition of coaching?

No disrespect to Steele, but I would trade him for Muschamp in a heartbeat.
