Ole Miss rushing vs. Bama:

2014: 32 carries, 76 yards, 2.4 ypc

2015: 32 carries, 92 yards, 2.9 ypc.

Factoring in that it was an away game, that's some improvement.

(We ran 63 offensive plays last year and 65 this year. We're very consistent against Bama!)

We really do need to get more out of our running game in the rest of these games. We're going to jump out to big leads against a lot of teams. We need to be able to sustain long, clock-eating drives. Otherwise we're going to burn out our defense.

ETA: Our rushing numbers this year were even better when you factor in that Kelly got sacked twice, while Bo did not get sacked last year.

I wonder if that includes Chad's two sacks. Wilkins had a pretty nice night. I think it was 7 carries for 39 yards. He needs more touches.

Could you imagine this offense with a Fournette or Chubb? I know Freeze is amazing at recruiting, but the next 6 star running back that pops up, we need to throw all the money at him.

Yeah, did you guys notice we didn't give Judd any carries? Why was that? He played. In fact, I think I only saw him in the victory formation.

I could have sworn I heard Judds name over the stadium PA unless they mistaked Wilkins for him

We did that without our best player, on the road, with another tackle injured, a true freshmen at LG, a RS freshmen RT against the best front seven in college football. What were you expecting exactly? This was a hell of a cherry pop for the young guys in prime time. If we get Tunsil back by Florida this will be an even more dangerous offense in every facet of the game. That allows Conyers to get healthy for the stretch.

No stats are listed for Judd on ESPN. But I know he was dressed and he was in the back wing during the QB Knee.

Confused about how getting Tunsil back effects Conyers PT?

I call that significant improvement. Bama dline and front seven is better vs. run this year, we had sacks, we were on the road, we still don't have our best oline out there, and we also ran for several first downs. I doubt anyone holds us under 100 for the rest of the year. I thought Bama was the best rush d we would face this year; they held Wisconsin to 40 net rushing yards.

It affects the tackle rotation. Cooper moves back to RT so in reality we gain two starters back. Rawlings and Morris will play a lot in the next four games. Bell and Still just need to be serviceable until Conyers returns. Sims and Morris playing well at guard allows Bell to get snaps at center.

I think it's retarded that sack yardage gets removed from rushing totals.

TFLs? Yes. Sacks? Why the frick?

Because he's slow and lacks the vision that Wilkins and Walton possess.
