Arizona St
Run - 45 (56.3%)
Pass - 35 (43.8%)

Ball St
Run - 49 (62.8%)
Pass - 29 (37.3%)

Total
Run - 94 (59.5%)
Pass - 64 (40.5%)

For comparison, in 2014 it was 45-55 Run-Pass. Now the #s are a little skewed with us running the clock out in the 2nd half vs BSU, but it looks like Sumlin was serious when he said he wanted to run the ball more. Once we get Bussey & Whit healthy, we should be even more effective.

I'm really glad we've got Nevada coming up to continue the fine tuning

Absolutely. And we DO need more fine tuning.

Hopefully the Nevada game goes exactly as did yesterday's. Up 50-0 at the half and letting the gatorade girl play a series. To hell with the ignorant polls.

We won't really know anything until Mississippi State. Damned coonies looked good last night. The division's in a quandry. It's negativland in Auburn and Arkansas. We need to win a bunch of conference games. It's time to reestablish some standards.

I know Ark is on a huge low coming off a loss from Toledo, but they're better than that. We'll learn if we can deal with a power run game by slowing them down.

Agree 100% IF we can stop Arkansas' run then I'll feel real good about the imminent future.

If we can contain Prescott I'll feel good. If we can then beat Arkansas without having to score 30 points I'll feel real good. We don't know what we've got/not got at linebacker and we don't know how tough our DL is willing to be.

Too easy?

So our RB2 & RB3 had the day off. RB4 is a SR (walk on?). He's white, 5'9" 180 pound guy who went for 83 yards on 17 carries. Then RB5, a true freshman walk on, went for 116 on 12 carries. When you guys of this talent level doing well, it throws out any meaning in just how good our run game is.

More rushing yards than Arkansas's top 2 running backs vs Toledo.

This. And I think MSU will be a good test for our running game/OL. LSU looked excellent running the ball on them but I think they're further along at OL than us and we don't have a freak show like Fournette.

MSU's run game is very different and very Dak based. He gave us fits last year.

If he gets to the second level I think we will have trouble with him and their offense as a whole. I am interested to see how Chief approaches that game since he gave LSU fits also. Our athletes up front should hopefully be able to contain him

Chavis should see how Steele defended him so well (for 3 quarters).
