Being a realist isn't sunshine pumping. But like GP, you do what you do. Yeah the defense has played a role the last few years, but you jump to a bunch of conclusions about something (because you're a hater)-it wouldn't bother me if Lock took over this year. I'm just realistic enough to know it isn't happening-Mauk is a team leader. Mauk isn't a great quarterback, but he's a gamer and a player. But I agree, it's fairly obvious who the best QB prospect on the roster is though.

Here's an amusing reality.
If it had been Mauk, rather than Lock, who had scrambled way out of the pocket, made the fundamentally unsound decision to heave it back across the field, and hooked up with Tyler Hunt for the TD, the anti-Mauk camp would be saying "see, that's classic Mauk, scrambling and pulling stuff out of his arse, we can't win like that."
And in the first half, had it been Lock rather than Mauk who had stood firm in the pocket and thrown perfect strike TDs to first Moore then Brown, the anti-Mauk camp would be all "see, Lock is clearly better now, he knows how to stay in the pocket which Mauk never does, what beautiful throws, he's so smart and talented and dreamy, dammit Stinkel START LOCK!"

This is Gary "loyalty" Pinkles call so of the possible ways Lock gets the starting job, Mauk getting benched for him is the least likely.
1.) Spell Pinkel correctly.
2.) Understand the difference between possessive and plural.
3.) Stop thinking you know more than the coaching staff. You don't.
4.) Consider posting with a Clemson logo so people don't mistake you as a Missouri fan.

As I told a Tenn fan yesterday, he's the best QB in the '15 class.
He's not better than Rosen come on dude, but I thought he was better than his ranking which improved throughout after his junior year.

Mauk played fine yesterday though. He had two TDs dropped. He really only made two WTF type of plays which is improvement for him.
And don't forget the TD called back because Culkin had stepped out of the back of the end zone before the catch.

I don't know about better than Rosen but he's pretty damn good and pretty damn mature for his age. Humble yet confident too. His head is as good as his tools.

jagd did Pinkel pull a Sandusky on you or something ?
Before you ask no I am not a blind supporter of Mizzou Coaches or Pinkel himself but your hatred is somewhat irrational at times.

What is your fricking problem, you got ran off the Mizzou Board last year for your shitty attitude. I hammered Steck on here during and after the SEC CCG vs Auburn. I also called for Yost's head his whole time as OC both on here and TB (before I came to the Rant). Pinkel has too much blind loyalty to his Coaches and is stubborn to a fault. But he has turned Mizzou into a consistent winner which seemed nigh impossible through the mid 80-'s to late 90's. I do not think he will ever take us over the edge to a Natty but he has done an admirable job at Mizzou.
