Ah, it's finally time for college football. Nothing better than Saturdays in the South.
So lots of question marks around many SEC teams this year especially at QB. The SEC West is stacked with talent and I believe 6 of the 7 teams have the potential to win the west. The only team that doesn't have a chance is MSU. Just lost too much from last year to be able to compete in such a tough division.
Will Mizzou get to Atlanta for a third consecutive year or will SEC East favorite Georgia decide not to choke and actually get in.
Will the SEC take back the top spot in CFB or will the highly favorites Buckeyes repeat or is there a surprise team out there? Well we're all about to find out.
First I'm gonna post my SEC Predictions starting with the West.
I have Bama winning the west. They lost a lot on offense but they have the best coaching in CFB and whether you like it or not, they will always compete as long as Saban is there. Bama loses early to Georgia but finishes strong, like last year. I have LSU finishing second and I think they can win the west and SEC with average to good QB play and some better pass rushing than last year. If they have good QB play, they'll be a scary team to play. I have all 7 teams making a bowl game.
1. Alabama 11-1 7-1
2. LSU 10-2 6-2
3. Auburn 9-3 5-3
4. Ole Miss 9-3 5-3
5. Arkansas 8-4 4-4
6. Texas A&M 7-5 3-5
7. Mississippi State 6-6 2-6
It seems like Georgia is always the favorite to win the east but it seems they always find a way to choke. So will they choke this year, will Mizzou get back, or is there someone else who will get to Atlanta like Tennessee? Well I don't have the Bulldogs choking this year but they don't finish the year the way they started but they still get to Atlanta with a 10-2 record with losses to Tennessee and Auburn. I have Mizzou coming in second at 10-2 as well but with Georgia winning the head to head they get the tiebreaker and head to Atlanta for a rematch with Bama.
1. Georgia 10-2 6-2
2. Missouri 10-2 6-2
3. Tennessee 9-3 5-3
4. South Carolina 6-6 3-5
5. Florida 6-6 3-5
6. Kentucky 5-7 1-7
7. Vanderbilt 2-10 0-8
So I have Bama beating Georgia in the rematch in Atlanta to win the SEC and get back to the CFB Playoff.
One major surprise is I don't have Ohio State winning the B1G. I have Michigan State. They are a very talented team that no one is talking about. I also think the B1G gets 2 teams in the CFB Playoff.
Big 5 Conference Winners
ACC- Florida State
B1G- Michigan State
Big 12- TCU
PAC 12- USC
SEC- Alabama
My darkhorses to watch out for are of course Michigan State, Florida State, LSU, Stanford, and Oklahoma. I think FSU has a lot of talent and they can be a team you might want to watch out for.
CFB Playoff
1. TCU 12-0
2. Alabama 12-1
3. Michigan State 12-1
4. Ohio State 11-1
Just Missing:
USC
Baylor
Florida State
LSU
Finally in the CFB Championship, I have Michigan State beating TCU to win it all. After Bama is unable to win it all yet again, I think you start to see The Fall of Bama.
Well I hope you all enjoy this years college football season and hopefully the SEC (LSU) can come out on top. As always goodluck to everyone and Geaux Tigers!

I was with the op until the end there. Stick with sec predictions.

So we are gonna get back into the playoffs again, win the conference two straight years for the first time by anyone in over a decade AND THEN the fall begins. I'm down. Op is probably spot on here.

Only change id make is Clemson wins the ACC over GT and gets in the playoff instead of Michigan State or OSU

I know someone who spoke to a bama offensive position coach. The coach told him that Saban thinks that if they get average qb play, this will be the best team he has had. We'll see.

I got Virginia Tech at 10-2 or 9-3 in the ACC championship game against Clemson and winner goes to playoffs. V Tech is vastly underrated and G Tech is really overrated.
