Nobody said he deserved. We are saying if you act like the kid that the chances go way up that what happened might happen.
You guys are like the women who dress very provocatively and then scream men shouldn't stare at them. While true....if a woman dresses sexily men, more than likely are going to stare. If they don't want men to start then dress normally.

That's a decent analogy, but the police situation gets a bit more complex when you consider that they are representing the state. We can opt out of going near certain people that may stare, we can't opt out of being under state authority.

I would equate this more to getting raped than getting stared at.....but I get what you're saying.
