I've never disrespected or had a run-in with a police officer. That is based on my upbringing, not some holy reverence I think we are supposed to hold police in.
I DO support people's right to be a jerk and not get the shite beat out of them, even though I don't engage in the jerk behavior myself.
Why is this such a hard concept for you to understand?

We agree with the same premise.
Still, I don't understand the upside of getting mouthy with a cop. From a purely strategic standpoint.

Ok. But if people act like a mouthy jerk they are liable to get pummeled by regular people too. The difference is, people scream bloody murder and post it on youtube when a cop does it.
