The more we as humans map out the known universe and it's structure, the more it resembles the structure of a brain. The brain cells, neurons, connections, synapses, what have you. The way in which the Universe is growing and expanding even mirrors the way that electricity fires between brain cells, galaxies connecting and networking like brain cells.

This leads to some interesting theories and questions:

- Do we (and our universe) exist within the brain of another life form?

-If we exist in the mind of a living being, are we the product of the conscience thought of a being of higher brain power, or is this the way of nature and happens within the brains of all living creatures or just ones with free thought?

-Do we all have our own universes inside our mind growing with our brain?

-Was the Big Bang simply the moment of conception, or the moment of gestation where the brain "turned on" for the being we exist in?
-The growth of the universe the growth of the beings mind and gaining new knowlege (expanding the mind=expanding the universe)

This next theory is perhaps personally the most interesting to think about:

-Assuming that our universe does exist in the mind of a living being and/or we all contain our own universes:
-Are alternate dimensions simply the universes that exist within the minds of others, or
-if other minds have other universes are they all unique and distinct?

We must also consider the creationist aspect,
-Are the similarities between the brain and our universe made purposely by our creator as a sort of cosmic sign pointing towards intelligent design?

OR

Is this all just mumbojumbo and:
-The similarities between our brain and the universe just a demonstration of the natural way all networks connect and work including the very Internet we are on right now?

You know, it's probably more likely that the universe exists without a plan for us.

Patterns exist everywhere in nature. Of course human's will tend to see that. Until you can prove there is no connection, then they are not meaningless

Option 3 -

Humans anthropomorphize everything and have been since self awareness.

Read the picture label. It is a simulated picture. It was of course derived from software programmed by humans with human biases.

The End.

We see it because we're pattern seeking creatures -- that's how we learn and grow.

Assuming that the patterns are giant signs that humans are the focal point of the universe is just silly.

It's not my job to determine whether or not the patterns have meaning, it's your job to provide the evidence.

An artists rendition is not accurate portrayal of what we know of the universe, but hey, you wanna see silver linings in monkeys throwing shite against a wall, who am I stop you?

There's a separate theory comparing the likeness between live pulses and code. I was fricked up when I heard it the other day, but it was an old pimp lookin motherfricker trying to explain it to Neil Degrasse Tyson.

Did you look at any of my post besides the picture? Because I definitely didn't say that.

Now that I know that you're the type to flip through books and only look at the pictures, I know to disregard your opinion from now on. Clearly you're not capable of thinking outside of the box.

''Our brainz look liek the universeeee°!!''

This was said a few years ago, and I posted ''apophenia'' for a reason.

We see patterns and assign meaning to them, when in fact there's a larger possibility of the patterns having no meaning whatsoever.

At the end of the party after things have wound down. That point around 3am when most people have left or passed out, and there's just a few people left and you're outside smoking a cig or around a fire and looking at the sky and having deep discussions.

It's honestly getting harder to find people that give an external shite about the universe.

Too many people today only care about materialistic things and what other people think about them and their social media page.

Maybe it's just all the drugs I used to do, but I think about all this stuff all the time.
Spring Break 2010 me and 3 close friends got a cabin in the smokey mountains, every night we did acid and ended up on he back porch looking at the sky and discussing things like this.

I've recently moved out into the county and am back reading more and watching lots of YouTube vids on it. I like the number conversions that put distances and speeds into perspective the most I think.

There's so much new information driven by technology in the past 10 years making it harder to follow now than ever too. I'm not smart enough to had finished a major in any of those directions, but there aren't many things I find more interesting that's for sure.

This puts you in a category with some very amazing people down through the ages. (Not the LSD specifically; it wasn't discovered until the 20th Century. But nature is loaded with similar substances and man has been utilizing these for millenia.) Thinkers have always been the minority. Most people ARE too preoccupied with meaningless bullshite. To them you (like Socrates) are wasting your energies worrying about nothing.

Absolutely I believe that the universe is mental energy. The GOD thing, whatever it is, didn't make it with its hands. It dreamed it all up. It is dreaming it still. The guy who wrote "Row, Row, Row Your Boat" knew what the hell he was talking about. Life IS but a dream.

One of the illustrations I coined and have used is this: Think of a video game. Say Pacman. The pacman is nothing more than electricity. Some electrified pixels on a monitor. Pure energy. The walls of the maze are the same thing. No more, no less. It's all just energy. The ghosts likewise...

To the Pacman, however, the walls are solid. He cannot pass through them. He hits one and he stops. They're steel. They're concrete. They may as well be uranium.

From our (God's) perspective both the pacman and the walls are just energy and they are one and the same. To the pacman, however, the walls are walls. They're impenetrable.

Same thing going on everywhere. You are a thought of GOD. The tree is a thought of GOD. That you can't walk through the tree is because "the program" will not allow it. The program, too, of course, the thought of GOD.

Now, as to the "brain" question? I don't know. Big big dif between "mind" and "brain". But why the hell not? The whole big thing is the passing fancy of a real big thinking thing.

Exactly. But is it Christian like God, of whom there is only one that is all-powerful and purposely created us? Or is our "God" one of many of his kind that either all posses the ability to create universes with their brain power, or who's brains naturally and unknowingly create a universe within themselves?
