You have the right to be wrong. In the past 4 years since the rule, the NFL avg 9 KO Return TDs/year. In the 4 years before the rule change they averaged 18 TDs/year



When the NFL moved KOs to the 35yd line, they killed the kick off return unless you have a top 2-3 returner. Right now, the average line of scrimmage for the NFL after a kickoff is the 22 yard line. So the NFL's league wide KO return game is netting only an additional 2 yards

Touchback %: 11.3%
Return %: 84.9%

2011-2013:

Touchback %:45.5%
Return%: 51.5%

I'm not saying go get a guy strictly for KR. But it's a plus to go after people like sproles that can do more than just be a KR like Dante Hall. In my mind, every yard counts.
