See, I'm a mustard is a must and onions overpower it guy. Grilled or caramelized onions are acceptable though.
I use a mix of ground chuck(for the fat)and ground sirloin(for the flavor). Add a little S&P and onion powder, grill to medium, with American cheese. I like tomato and mustard only on mine.
If I'm feeling exotic, I love a black & bleu burger with some Maytag Bleu cheese.

Sounds good. For me it starts with the quality of the beef. I like a toasted bun, pepper jack cheese, onions, lettuce, tomatoes and thinly sliced bacon. I've been known to spread hot chow chow to replace the pickles.

I can't do mustard at all. Mayo, lettuce, tomato, onion, bacon, homemade bread and butter pickle if available.
