LSU was great in the 30s and 50s, and had won a couple conference titles in the late 80s. However from 1962 to 2000, they only won three conference championships had missed out on a bowl game 19 times.

You are incorrect Sir.
LSU was the 8th best team of the 1940s.
LSU was the 6th best team in the 1960s.
LSU was the 14th best team of the 1970s.
Even in the 90's at our absolute worst we managed a 10 win season.
But don't let that stop your False Narrative.

I'm calling bullshite on the sixties ranking. No national titles for that decade and the best finish was #4, so how in the hell does that make LSU the 6th best team of the decade? Arkansas has a national title, finished with a better win percentage and was ranked higher then LSU in most final AP polls of the decade, but LSU was a better team? bullshite!

The only thing they give LSU more points for was tougher schedule (really?) and more "Big 4 bowls", which had little-to-nothing to do with how the teams fared. Arkansas played in twice as many Sugar Bowls as LSU did for that span and played in the same number of "Big 4" bowls, so I have no idea how they arrived at that conclusion.
