We have 3 long threads of A&M and LSU fans talking past each other.

LSU fans are saying that Chavis is great all game long until the final few minutes when he goes into "prevent" defense and gives the game away.

A&M fans are saying that his 2-minute drill defense is not a 3rd down problem and that the blame should not fall solely on the D when the offense failed to put up points at other times during the game when the D was working its arse off to keep the game in hand.

My final word on this horse-beaten topic:
Chavis needs to drop the stupid 2-minute prevent D in tight games. That is partly on him. Slocum did that very same thing. It is madening and I hope Sumlin is able to keep his arse in check. However, the offense MUST share the load and at least move the ball to give the D rest, or score, so the entire game is not dependent on a worn-out D after 58 minutes of carrying the offenses shite water.

Both fan bases are right, but nobody will acknowledge it because frickLSU®.

GOD, I love tRant.

And to be fair, Tennessee fans are the ones that coined the term 3rd and Chavis.

At LSU it was more of a "Under 2 minutes left and Chavis" issue.
