He is ahead in the polls. Basically, it looks like he is taking from the other anti-establishment guys like Cruz and Paul.

I do not think he ever gets higher than 20% though, but he will probably keep that number, which would be enough to win early states.

Walker is not really being hurt by him, but is around 18-19 % support right now. Bush is starting to lose some of his support to Kasich supporters.

I do not think Jindal has much support to lose.

The scary thing is all the other big names have already spent millions campaigning while Trump is playing with house money.

I just don't see Trump having staying power. At all. Just like with Sarah Palin, publicity/ notoriety drove popularity for a while, but at the end of the day that momentum faded.
Substance matters.

LOL you know nothing. The red party knew the blue party was going to win the election. Sarah Palin was just a way to try to even out the tilt and give credibility more for women with the red color party. They try to keep the colors somewhat even. She was a prop on an already losing ticket. Just like the President nominee was. McCain, a guy that was never meant to be president, but was a good stand in guy since he was a war hero.

Trump is something different. He is a misdirection in a magic trick if you will. The red party will field the next president i guarantee it. It will most likely be Jeb Bush unless some how like the 2008 the powers that be decide fresh blood is better due to the over exposure of the establishment (such was the fact after the Wall Street issues). Lollllllllllllllll and they still got a 2nd bail out. Idiot voters who take politics as serious business will never learn. Yes we can.....yea we can... built that fence...build that fence... i just want to be a part of the GOP party so i can land that ginormous fence building contract then open up stores across the border selling ladders and shovels.

Jeb Bush & Marco Rubio are unelectable or soon will be when both reveal the others dirty work in Florida, where both climate change deniers have been on the take from energy giants and denied the people access to the wind and solar power solutions. They even killed any of their own who fought for small cap companies who wanted to provide it.

19 million people have good reason to hate one or both of these fools.

Yeah, but didn't Huckabee or Santorum lead in the early 2012 primary season? I know it was someone that faded pretty quickly, like Trump will unless he goes 3rd party.

In 2008, Huckabee & Romney were the poll darlings as late as January. McCain won.

In August of 2012, Michelle Bachman won the preliminary Iowa straw poll and Herman Cain was a GOP darling. Neither lasted to January.

You can see the same kind of pattern on the Democratic side as well when there's a Republican incumbent or an open seat.

There are always candidates that make a summer splash but fail to even make primary season. The average voter doesn't really start paying attention and making decisions until their primaries get closer.

See this is a perfect why the whole political process is broken on both sides. The true problem is that the vast majority of elected officals, on all levels, are just self serving snakes. I wouldn't dare vote for Rubio. They guy can't even get his own finances straight. The country can't take having another Bush either. What we all need to realize is that our country is run by corporations. They are the ones deciding everything because they have the money to truly get there interests served.

LOL Mexicans don't vote GOP. Stop Dreaming.

In that case, The GOP should stop dreaming of winning national elections. They don't need to win the Hispanic vote either, just get a split like W got instead of Romney. Considering Hillary is going to reign down terror with the women's vote, courting Mexicans is necessary to pulling off a victory.

Every American should love what Trump is doing. He's calling out the elitist career politicians and elitist media for turning our country into a giant shitshow.

You don't have to support him to like what he's doing.

So what's the difference then? Trump at least talks about deporting some of the apparent Natural Commies from south of the border.

Jeb promises to preside over an increasingly Third World shite-hole Marxist America. Woo-hoo, yay conservativism. Jeb is a cuck and a pussy.

Nailed it. He makes politicians uncomfortable. They should be uncomfortable. He exposes what a farce American politics and media have become.

he is this year's sarah palin. With a ton of candidates thrown in, yeah he is leading. The problem is that he is so radical that he can't rally the whole party to win. If they didn't learn from Palin a few years ago then this country deserves to burn under another liberal president. Palin got McCain back in the race but would never be able to help him win.

I don't like Trump, I think he's doing a stunt instead of actually running for President but -- he's smart. Palin wasn't smart. He knows he has no chance to be president (zero), Palin really believed and still believes she's important.

I think differently for the simple fact that this is a different era where pomp and circumstance outweigh reasonable thought.

The popular vote is the whisky vote.

If he gets elected and it's highly probable IMO it's a 4-year deal unless he makes himself king and I'm not sure that's not what he's after.

Bet? He will never be president, way too much baggage. You have to live here in Mexico if you lose.

I'll even get you set up.

Why do you think the elite will put a Repub in the White House?
Why do you think they won't put Hillary in there?
Why, if they're going to go Red, would they not put Trump in there. Seems like that would make perfect sense - appeasing the sheople and all, while maintaining control.

You have to keep illusion balanced and alive. Its the Red sides turn.

Shes not in the red party. She missed her chance. No reason for the blue party to burn a good face they may want to bring out in 8 years so she will do for this election.

I dont think he would take it. He has a better gig. 8 years is a long time to deal with that sort of bullshite. Plus thats not his role....his role is of temporarily misdirection and grenade tossing. He knows that.

I've heard people say the same thing. I'm not convinced...yet anyway. I don't see anyone on the Red side that has done as much water-carrying for the elite as Hillary has.

Maybe they'll whip out the Red version of Obama when the time is right?

You would think. But why does she keep running? She has to know if she isn't the chosen one....doesn't she? Or is she aware and agreeable to play the role of placeholder? That just doesn't sound like a Clinton.

I agree completely.
