Lobotomy, why don't you compare the driving distance from A&M to the Big 12 South schools and to the SEC west schools? What is the average distance? Very convenient for you leave the important driving distance out.

I have a feeling you won't do this.

He did actually.

He only omitted two. Austin and Waco. Both of which are less than 2 hours drive.

Tech and the Oklahoma Schools are next closest and several hours away.

What's your point? We'd go back because of Austin and Waco driving distances?

Yeah, that's not happening.

Baton Rouge, LA is 366 miles away from College Station. That's closer than Lubbock, TX (426 miles), Stillwater, OK (436 miles), and only 9 miles further away than Norman, OK (357 miles)

These ARE big 12 south teams

Why are you at it compare A&M's driving distance to Big 12 North vs the SEC east.

West Virginia was never in the Big 12 north division.

I love how you cherry pick facts and instead of showing the entire picture. I guess there is a reason you did this.

Why the hell does this matter in 2015? Seriously? Driving distances? Are you kidding me? You really think ANY move in realignment so far was determined by freaking driving distances?

The difference between a non-Texas Big 12 team and a SEC team on revenue is almost $10 million a year. For $10 million extra freaking dollars a year we could rent a plane for every single sport.

There is no way for the Big 12 to catch up. Even if there was a Big 12 Network it doesn't have the footprint or the brands to keep up with SEC Network money. The whole reason Texas did the LHN on their own is they did the research and THEY would make more with a LHN arrangement. If they thought they could make more with a Big 12 Network arrangement the LHN would already be dead. Problem is the Big 12's footprint is shite, and adding A&M doesn't help.

Freaking driving distances. Its like you stopped paying attention to what mattered in this sport 15 years ago.

The ONLY way A&M is in the same conference/division as the Big 12 again is if legislation or regulation forces college football to have an all-powerful dictator and that dictator redoes all the conferences to be better regional fits. Basically the sport would have to almost be dead and the savior puts a gun to our head, that is what it would take for us to go back.

We will NEVER do it willingly, even if the money is LESS (which it will never be). To say otherwise is to show ignorance about how stubborn an Aggie can be.
