Georgia doesn't really have a starter named, it's between three guys that are competing down to the wire for the start. All have a little gametime, one guy, the transfer, alot more game time than the other two.

So it got me to thinking.

Who would you rather have as a QB for your team this year?

Upvote- Whatever Richt trots out there
Downvote- Josh Dobbs

Voting begins now.

I know Dobbs is good. I don't know anything about the UGA guys. So Dobbs.

Give me the QB guru over the guy who couldn't beat Will Muschamp.

I'm glad that the SECr can band together for a pretty solid troll thread. 5/10

This is a failed troll attempt by you, there's some nfl scouts that believe Dobbs could play in the nfl next year, go look at his stats and how much he improved that offense, this isn't even funny its just insecurity by you.

Dropping in to lol at anyone who would consider Ramsey, Bauta or the UVA reject over Dobbs.

If UGA had a guy with Dobbs 2014-like season on the roster, they would've been the preseason SEC championship pick.

who are your "3 QBs" and what is their exact experience?

most teams, like Mizzou, have set QB's and no real competition.

I can tell you about Mauk if you want to hear it..

in a nutshell, what Mauk needs to get his game to the next level:

His strengths:

* highly competitive, winning program kid
* much experience "slingin it" and has the HS stats to prove it
* all around good athlete and team leader

what he needs for the final level:

*better vision
(both literally seeing the mid-field AND reading defenses)
at 6 foot he's not "tall" for a college QB but he sees downfield well enough to hit his target, he's just not seeing the whole field, yet, and not recognizing defenses well enough to predict where the short openings will be with any regularity.

*better play decisions
(play within his game and not force the impossible)
he often leaves the pocket early and tries to do too much with his feet, but appears to be improving on this.
hasn't mastered the art of the throw-away(out of bounds) play
improve his game speed, not the fastest "thinker", so needs to improve snap decision making

essentially he needs to radically improve on his short to mid range pass completion percentage and continue throwing deep pretty well.

Not sure how much of that is possible but I am sure he can get better at any or all of those to some degree, his dad was his HS coach where he set the state record for HS passing in Ohio, now that his dad is undergoing advanced cancer treatment, I think we may well see more out of him than any of us, including Mizzou fans, had expected. He COULD BE the phenom we were all hoping/afraid for..

Dobbs 110%. Lambert looked like crap at Virginia and I've seen several of UGA fans rag on Ramsey. I don't see either being as efficient as Mason, but they will put up more yardage.

Dobbs has actually played really well despite a crappy OL and no decent running threat until he made one. He gave UT a run game in addition to the pass game. If 2 of Croom, North, and Malone improve to give him a consistent weapon outside of Howard, he'll blow up. Ethan Wolf looks like he could be a top 3 SEC TE as well.
