I miss Kliff lol

the truth is the same people complaining about Spav's playcalling were complaining about Kliff's the first 2/3ds of 2012 and now reminisce

For some reason the monday morning QBs tend to think Spav walks up to a chalkboard, diagrams a play and everyone just does that. Football and playcalling isn't rocket science but it's a lot deeper than that. The coaches all meet for a weekly gameplan. They discuss what plays to run in situations, vs personnel groups, etc. They all have input. Then they practice those plays all week and make subtle changes to attack identified opponent weaknesses. Each coach has the freedom to make changes for their own personnel group.

So there simply isn't one singular coach, and the same coaches supporting Kliff (incl Sumlin) supported both McKinney and Spav. Yes, Spav holds the playsheet, but it's the agreed upon plays in a format that takes into account all the potential factors and situations discussed in game planning.

Our problems last year and what this quote likely refers to, had to do with disunity in the coaches meetings. Personalities are personalities and sometimes over time good chemistry fades.

I hate to claim to fix one of your posts tmc, but surely this had something to do with with it?
