Dye resigned because he did not want to drag it out anymore

You guys really are the most delusional fan base on here and its not even up for debate. Dye was told to resign by Lowder....told to fall on his sword...had the NCAA been able to connect all the dots to your BOT, we would be talking death penalty.

All of this confirmed by the way on the record by Terry Bowden.

You are one delusional Bammer. Dye never fell on his sword with his resignation, he lost support because his last two teams were 5-6 and 5-5-1. Again, they were accused of providing Steaks for play and Pat Dye was never fully implicated (despite Bama and Donald Watkins attempts). There were zero BOT members cited. I love how Bammers write history.

They didn't dumbass, but to just assume a good not great Auburn team that year would beat Florida in the SEC title game and then win their bowl game is laughable. Maybe it would have happened, but I doubt it.

Based on what we already knew about Auburn vs Florida in 1993 it isn't crazy to assume Auburn would have beaten Florida in the title game.

Caught red-handed on tape arranging a pay-for-play scheme with Colonial Bank and their "loan". Lowder told Dye to resign before Lowder, his BOT cronies, and the entire program came crumbling down.

You know it and I know it.

To be clear Terry Bowden never confirmed any of those coffee shop rumors.

Despite your claims none of us know any of this...

DA, if you remember, Dye told him he could not get a loan. I know a lot about Eric Ramsey and his situation. Eric tried to implicate Dye on tape at his wife's request. Eric was told not to marry her and that he could not afford a wife and to play football, but he did not listen. She was the driving force behind this and then she got Watkins involved. No BOT members, but there was an Asst Coach and a Booster that tried to help. If you only knew how College Football was back then, you would not be running your bammer mouth.
