Well, Kiffin deserves blame but at the same time it was Kirby's defense that was giving up those 3rd and Longs and allowed 35 points with over 200+ yards rushing.

That said, we did nothing on offense to alleviate the defense. We got into a rut of 3 & Outs, which had been a problem all year. The playcall after the OSU miffed punt was awful. Our problem was that we simply didn't have an identity on offense and refused to take what the defense gave us.

Since we probably won't have a QB who will have Sims' ability to scramble, I'm really concerned about the 3 and out problem.

Yep...this is why I will NEVER care when Kiffin decides to move on.

He blew the biggest game of career on the biggest stage...all by himself.

The 3 and out problem I think is a symptom of an O-Line that wasn't what it had been in previous years.

I'm hoping it will be improved this year, and that will resolve the issue.

Kiffin didn't throw 3 ints. One for a pick six. In my old age the team most fired up for the game shows it on defense more often than not.

Hell yes in hindsight I'd run the ball at least 3 more times than we did. You can guess which plays that would be.
