One of my favorites is "The Throwin' Mayoan" for UF QB Kerwin Bell who was from Mayo, FL. Some of my favorite Dawgs were Andre Pulpwood Smith, Steve Moonpie Wilson, and Greg Muddy Waters. I'm showing my age.

I must've been thinking Brent Calloway for Bama that nicknamed himself the "Honey Bear"

James "little man" Stewart was a good one for Tennessee. He was pretty damn good too.

Didn't Mathieu dub himself the "Honey Badger" though? That's lame, even if he did live up to it.
Absolutely not! He was dubbed that right here on TD by Mike Linebacker. Mathieu hated it at first and really didn't accept it until late in the season when he was getting asked about so much by the media... I am sure Chicken has that post archived in TD history somewhere.

Broadway Joe wasn't an SEC nickname. Awesome QB, though.

Reginald "Mule" King
The mule was in reference to what occupied his jock strap.
