I love the SECR banking on Mullen making history in 2015

from 2004-2014- 32 teams returned a player receiving Heisman votes. From those 32 teams:
4 teams won 13 games
9 teams won 12 games
5 teams won 11 games
5 teams won 10 games
3 teams won 9 games
5 teams won 8 games
1 team won 7 games
So teams that returned a Heisman vote-getter the next season:
23/32 won 10 or more games the next year
31/32 won 8 or more games
No team was as bad as 6-6
So the Rant and others expect Dan Mullen- who has basically overachieved at State since the day he showed up- to severely underachieve in 2015.

I guess you're super stoked about being the second team to win 7 games.
It's cool how we can point to the fact that MSU has never had massive success two seasons in a row as evidence, but that's thrown out by MSU fans. This, however, is totally different.

Any information on which teams these were? I'd rather not have to look it up.

If we win less than 10 I'll be shocked.
Nothing about what Mullen has done matches up to the historical norms

No, that might be damaging to his agenda, which already being held together by a thin coating of spit and prayer.

You'll be lucky to win 8. Moo state is about to go right back to the cellar, where they belong

That's not possible little buddy.

Overachieving at State = beating 1 team who was better than you in 6 years

Someone has already bought their Rose Bowl tickets.

Most of those teams weren't Mississippi State.

But how many of those teams were huge pieces of shite for 20+ years prior to having a Heisman contender?? Probably a more telling statistic...

Other than 2010 Houston which went 5-7 with returning Heisman vote getter Case Keenum right?
