UT fans: What can you tell me about Cam Sutton?

I was reading SDS ranking of the East players and I don't know very much about him. Is he going to be a star player for you. I know Maggitt and Barnett seem to get all the hype right now. How good is this kid going to be?
Here's what SDS said about him.

quote:
5. Cam Sutton, DB, Tennessee: The Vols’ most versatile defender, Sutton has started the first 25 games of his career at cornerback but Tennessee’s defensive staff is playing with the idea of sliding their best defensive back over to the nickel spot to take advantage of his supreme playmaking ability. If he has any say in the matter, Sutton will try and take Vernon Hargreaves’ crown as the league’s best in coverage by season’s end.

Best DB in the SEC....

He's easily the best DB we've had since Eric Berry.

Taller than average corner. 3 INT last year. Should have a great junior season.

Is he going to stay at corner? Who does he compare to?

He must be pretty damn good if it's coming from a guy who seems to hate all things UT related

Pls.
My Volsession stemmed directly from V&S's Rebsession. The two have subsided.

He's flown under the radar for a couple of seasons now, but he's starting to get the credit he deserves.
Grades out as a first round pick, per most media outlets. Great in coverage and run support. Very, very high level SEC player.
Easily, our best player.

He is a CB. He is a special player...Amari Cooper abused him, but then again, he abused everyone. He has looked pretty damn good his entire career and has played since day 1.

I played against his team in intramural softball last spring. I was playing first base and he almost beat me to the bag when he would get a hit

Charlie Campbell of Walter Football has him as #7 overall pick in 2016 draft in his latest mock. LINK
That's as high as I've seen him go and he's not a universal first round pick like Hargreaves , but he has that kind of potential.

Yeah, I fixed it to CB. Who does he compare to though? Ain't no shame in getting abused by Cooper. He pretty much dominated everyone.

Another bad Grantham/Lakatos evaluation. If you take that further, since Sutton was the tackler on the Keith Marshall injury, Grantham basically cost us Sutton and two years of Keith Marshall.
frick Grantham.

He's a tall, physical, lockdown corner who can make big hits and defends well against the run. He makes a lot of tackles, and had 3 picks in the first 5 games of last year before teams started learning not to throw his way (he had another pick in the bowl game called back for a penalty.) Sometimes he backs off a little too much, but even then he often is good enough to make up ground and make a play on the ball. Quite possibly the 2nd best corner in the league behind VH3. Also he's fast and a threat returning punts, but he takes too many fair catches.

Dude can play. I felt bad for him after the UT-Vandy game 2 years ago. He was defending Jordan Matthews when on the player before we scored the winning TD. Jordan just went up and snagged one when Cam had perfect coverage. He caught a lot of venom for that from the more obnoxious members of the Vol fanbase on social media. Some nasty death threats, but he handled it with pure class.
