I dont understand why so many people judge teams off what happened in the past. History changes every day.

I think most people think your success last year was a little flukey.

Thought the same about Mizzou. See how that turned out.

How do you explain a long, sustained failure that spans decades and different persons at the helm? I think people look to reconcile those types of trends in some way. I think past performance is one of those ways. Also, generally how good you are effects how well you can recruit which is the name of the game.

You were absolutely right?

quote:There was some success under Jackie in the late 90's and early '00's, but most of our shite-football was due to poor coaching/lack of draw to the university. Seem to have a solid coach and facilities that has drawn better recruits (still not top notch, but solid none-the-less). As bad as most don't want to admit, Starkville is not the dump it was. Not going to "wow" any of the recruits, but certainly hasn't deterred any from coming.

If you don't think the excitement and mindset aren't different pertaining to MSU football than it was 30 years ago, you're are just blind and/or stupid.

I wouldn't call their success "flukey." This was a culmination of Mullen's program-building prowess. Now, we see if he can maintain a higher level than expected.

We are about to find out if all that 1A-1B stuff is about to payoff.
Last years Defense costs us the OM and Bowl game. They flat out sucked at the end of the year. I think on D we are going to be better. I know that goes against the Rants all the starters lost M.O.

Y'all played poorly on defense in the Egg Bowl but we did hold y'all to 17 points so it was a team loss, I feel.

But yeah, I'm expecting no drop off from your offense in 2015, especially in the passing game.

It was a team loss. Coaches deserve it as much as anyone for that horrific game plan. A hobbled Bo and we don't go after him once. Collins can frick himself.
