Why is quoting on mobile impossible?

God forbid the post I want to quote already has a quote in the post. It makes my entire browser flip out trying to select what I want.
ETA: I use safari btw. Had the same problem with Google chrome app on my iPhone though.

Worked just fine for me right then on the Chrome app. But I am using android and not IPhone

It used to work decently. I'd have problems here and there trying to select exactly what I wanted. Idk if it's the new website format or iPhone update (I don't have the most recent. 8.1.3 I think is what I have. I'll check in a few).
Ever since then if it doesn't have a quote, it works. If there is a quote in the post, it'll highlight the entire post, including the quote and time stamp. If I try and shorten it using the circles, it flashes back and forth from the entire post to just what I want, really quickly. Sometimes my browser will scroll down and i can't scroll back up. It's weird.

I'm not going to switch phones because of one website. 
My iPhone works in every other regard, as intended. Chicken does seem to hate apple though. Every time an iPhone user has a problem he chalks it up to "it seems to be an apple issue, not us"

my only issue with apple is how they suck you into their ecosystem
there's a reason they don't make an iMessage app for other phones.

I honestly don't know why y'all use the mobile version at all. I keep my phone in desktop.
