You've offered 10 other RBs, Bielema isnt stupid. You have a better chance of flipping Tre Turner than landing Devin White.

just to be clear this thread will be bumped and I'll laugh my arse off if he commits to Arkansas

Ok bro. We'll all have a good laugh when Devin White signs with Arkansas. Have a nice day, and don't forget to wear your helmet if you go outside

I don't think "laugh" would be the correct word based on the comments in this thread...assuming he did choose a school he has no interest in...

Arkansas fans in this thread are saying he's all but LSU's and aren't speaking in absolutes
LSU fans in this thread are claiming he's theirs and are speaking in absolutes
Only fools speak in absolutes. LSU fans are the gift that keep giving

Let me speak for LSU fans with at least average IQs in saying that I'm sure he does have interest in Arkansas, as he does in Bama, ole miss, and LSU. But I would be very surprised if he ended up at Arkansas, and if he ended up anywhere but LSU.
But I'm obviously not guaranteeing him to LSU, because anything can happen in recruiting. Just would be very surprised if he ended up at Arkansas. LSU doesn't lose high profile Louisiana recruits that they want to Arkansas. Sorry boys

Briston Guidry..........let me guess he's overrated and LSU didn't really want him anyway!

Bama is paying _____.
All I said was that it is not that far fetched.
Then cited:
quote:
Means and Logan Young
This provides a recent example of Alabama boosters (there were three other boosters involved, who were also part of the scheme), paying high school players to come to the University of Alabama.
quote:
Under a different coaching staff.
Doesn't matter. It was "rogue" Alabama boosters, not coaches, that were behind the Albert Means pay-offs.
quote:
Quick quiz: Which school has most recently been on probation for giving improper benefits, Alabama or LSU?
There is improper benefits like a coach helping a kid out with "a loan" or paying for an apartment (e.g. Corey Harris at Alabama or DJ McCarthy at LSU), then there is the FBI demonstrating in open court that an Alabama booster paid $150,000.00 in cash to secure the services of a high school football player. These things are not equivalent.
The past is a good indicator of the future and no one in the SEC has a history of cash-in-duffle bags like the University of Alabama and its boosters.

We understand the situation...kind of a weird deal for DW being sandwiched between 2 of the most prolific RBs to come out of LA in some time.
As much as I like DW, he is not elite as the other 2. He wants to be the man at RB.
Do you see him getting carries over either of these 2, not to mention the other talent you have at RB?
He has mentioned he's a big fan of LF and not scared of competition.
He may just love LSU and that be the only factor in his decision.
Edit: Obviously I'm not diminishing DW's abilities, but there is some sick young talent currently committed or on LSU cammpus at RB. I won't mention our RB situation for 2016

Ed Alexander, Glen Logan, Stephon Taylor, and possibly Rashard Lawrence might have deterred Guidrey from Baton Rouge I think

What I figured, LSU is too stacked on the DL to need a 4 star in state guy. Thanks for throwing us a bone Tigers!!

So you don't think the possibilities of 2 5* and 2 4* defensive tackles just in his class alone might have pushed him to Arkansas?
By the way, you're welcome.

I'm sure it helped...yes, similar to say maybe a RB position.
Thanks...there is enough talent in LA to go around

But that won't influence DW's decision........

How about a Ban bet?

Nope, he's being promised that he will be the only RB taken in the 2016 class. Actually quite different from Guidrey's situation. And I haven't looked, but I think LSU uses all their RBs pretty well. And most of those guys on the field for LSU go on to play in the NFL. Pretty good situation

Guidry would have been anywhere in between the 4th and 6th best DT in LSU's class. LSU fans on here weren't big on pointing that out, yet Arkansas fans can't help themselves.

Please tell me how well LSU uses their RB's, as well as the last time you had two 1,000 yd backs in the same season, oh and three RB's drafted in the in the same year.
