Got to thinking about this early and was wondering y'all's opinion.
If I were a coach and could choose any university, my list would look something like:
1. Alabama
2. USC
3. Ohio St
4. Texas
5. LSU
6. Michigan
7. Georgia
8. Oklahoma
9. Florida State
10. Notre Dame
Florida/ Miami/ Oregon/ Auburn are honorable mentions.
You really want all opinions?
Okay then .... well, SCAR obviously deserves to be on the list. I mean everything is in place. And something drew Holtz and Spurrier here ... it wasn't my cheery disposition and good looks. Rather it was them both recognizing the potential for something special here .... wanted it to be a part of their legacies.
SCAR will be a coveted job once again ...... once the HBC decides to hang it up and turn it over to someone else. Great facilities, passionate fan base. Loyal following. SEC, etc.
Seriously. I get your list, I do. But IMHO it's based too much on the past. Your Honorable Mentions, less the has-been Miami job, should be in the Top Ten.
Notre Same is probably not Top Ten any longer.
You were catering (sic:sucking-up) to LSU ranters by ranking them do high.
You would have been better-off doing a Top 25. You could have presented it more logically.
1 Bama
2 SoCal
3 Florida
3 Ohio State
3 Michigan
3 Texas
7 Oregon (as long as Phil is alive)
8 Florida State (cushiest job in the country)
9 Tennessee
9 LSU
9 UGA
9 Auburn
13 Notre Dame
14 Oklahoma
14 Texas A&M
16 SCAR
16 Clemson
18 Michigan State
18 TCU
20 Miami
21 Stanford
21 UCLA
23 TCU
24 Baylor
25 Wisconsin
26 Okie State
27 UNC
28 Ole Miss
29 Miss St
30 California
30 Va Tech
30 WVA

You have TCU listed twice.

You don't have UF in your top 30? I'm assuming that is some sort of mistake.
I understand we had a couple of down years, but without a doubt it is a top 10 job most would put in the top 5. There have been 2 anonymous polls by NCAA coaches and both named UF the #1 job in the country.
Everyone is overstating the recruiting aspect, there is enough talent in Florida for us to share and when the Florida schools are winning, the out of state schools are much less of an issue.
