That seems like an exaggeration. I actually lived up there for 3 years. My dad was an engineer who was called up to rebuild a plant that was in a start-up phase. You will never meet nicer people in your life.

Something tells me that every single commenter on this post thus far is either just a liar who has never even been in these situations/venues in the first place...or either a person that no one wants to be around in the first place...aka, "White Trash" yourself.

Again, I'm going to give you a link to Google.

Feel free to link ANY incident with LSU fans behaving badly.

Put up, or shut up.

Every SEC team that has ever played them says the same damn thing. Hell, some guys tried to kill an LSU fan a few years ago for telling them "Good Game"

I do believe that West Virginia will end up in the ACC after the SEC poaches Virginia Tech and North Carolina State. WVU in the Big 12 is weird.

No. West Virginia might be more backwards than Mississippi. There are less than 2 million people in West Virginia which is less than they had in 1940. No. No. No.

A FCS Patriot League school has more pull in the DC market than WVU. DC has a lot of folks from all over the nation that live there. I'd be willing to bet that A&M has as much pull in DC as WVU as there are a ton of Aggies working on the hill and in the military.

The local folks pull for VT, Maryland, Penn State, Virginia, George Mason, VCU, James Madison, Georgetown. and the service academies.

More like a lump of coal in a dog's arse.

It might sound tempting but just fricking leave it alone.

Too late, B1G grabbed Maryland already to hit that DC market. Lots of B1G alumni in that area and the BTN is there with a batter school with better sports history. ACC has what is left with UVA and VT to the south.

I was there for the LSU/WVU game and I have never seen a trashier, more hateful, inbred, degenerate fan base than I did in Morgantown. By far the worst road experience I've ever had. And I've been to Little Rock.

Honestly, I am not trying to slam LSU fans...but they seem the same as WVU fans to me. You guys are practically twins. Even your own languages are confusing.

They bring absolutely nothing to the table.
No TV market, recruiting base and travel sucks getting
in and out of there.Don't GAS how nice the people are or how beautiful the state is.

And I've encountered their fans 1st hand at the Sugar Bowl in 05...once again,no thanks.

This is 100% false. Maryland and Virginia Tech share the DC market. Yes, Maryland is closer in proximity to DC but Virginia Tech and UVA fans run NOVA.

Did you even read what I wrote? I said the very same thing about UVA and VT. Next time you quote read the whole post before acting like I said something I did not.

Idk where you stayed in West Virginia for 3 years, and I'm not discounting your experience but I went skiing in West Virginia for a weekend once and the locals were all ugly as hell. They had a trashy look about them for sure.

Your post insinuates that Maryland controls the majority of the TV market in the DC area. I disagree. I'd say it is split with Virginia Tech.

Because you can't find a single damn link. Which means you were talking completely out of your arse.

Meanwhile, look what I found about Auburn fans...

quote:

BR Police: Auburn fan steals truck, kidnaps woman, hits 9 parked cars outside Tigerland bars

Man 'wanted to see what it was really like to play the video game Grand Theft Auto.'

According to the arrest report, the incident happened on Saturday shortly before 2:30 a.m. Officers with the Baton Rouge Police Department were called to the Tigerland area in response to a stolen vehicle and erratic driver.

Witnesses said the owner of the truck pulled up in the parking lot of the bar and got out of the vehicle. He left the truck running and a female passenger was sitting in a truck alone. Then, the suspect, Zachary Burgess, 20, of Hoover, Ala., got in and tried to steal the vehicle.

“When he tried to flee the parking lot there were several cars blocking the way,” Cpl. Don Coppola said. “He began ramming into the parked cars.”

The female in the vehicle was reportedly being held in the truck against will. She claims that Burgess “forcibly” held her captive in the truck.

WDSU

Can you offer a similar link involving an LSU fan? No?

If you would travel to Virginia Tech, then you would travel to Morgantown.

Same thing from Auburn, Athens and Gainesville to Missouri and Texas. Same distance.

Adding WVU would be just like adding Arkansas and South Carolina as far a "prestige".
