I don't know about Cal but I definitely hate UCLA from when we played them in the CWS. They acted like the biggest babies in the world and the announcers made you sick listening to them fawning over them the whole time. You know it's bad when you go to a few of your rivals' boards and they are talking about how biased the announcers are.

The announcer is question was the UCLA homer Orel Hershiser.

What they did, that was unforgivable IMHO, was take possession of the walk off baseball and refuse to give it to us - which was Rosenblatt tradition for almost a century and remains so ... except for that particular game.

The UCLA player who had the ball immediately ran with it and refused to return it and his coach supported him. He eventually put it in a trust with an attorney and I suppose it remains there until this day. He claimed the ball was his, and it was historic, because it was the last game played in Rosenblatt ... I think Jackie Bradley, Jr. may have actually had possession at one time but dropped it or threw it or something .... anyways, it was a chicken-shite thing to do by the UCLA player and supported by his coach.

Game ball goes to the winning team ... except that one time.

There were a couple different chicken-shite moments with Cal last night. Their coach was running out of the dugout every time the ump made a controversial call, even when it was an obviously correct call. Almost was tossed. Then, at one point, they had a runner caught stealing second and he was just straight up trying to run into our players during the rundown to draw interference. Then they went nuts when the ump correctly called him out.

*Adding: Apparently, their catcher told A&M to "frick off" when he hit the winning home run Saturday before they went nuts celebrating on our field. Then they got butt hurt when A&M celebrated winning the elimination game.

That type of stuff on top of bad-blood from the Saturday game will make tonight interesting.
