IMO, there is a pretty substantial difference in being a nasty offensive lineman who intentionally inflicts pain on an opposing player who is able to defend himself and can see you coming as opposed to intentionally doing things to hurt a guy who can't defend himself and sometimes doesn't even see you coming.
I don't think it's possible for offensive linemen to be TPOS - except when they're chop blocking or doing something they know can end a career.

Yeah I think he got tired of Jones BS and decided he was going to eat Murray alive. What better way to send a message?
He really didn't even do anything malicious to Murray, Murray was just a cry baby bitch.
He stumbled after being pushed head first and it's hard to stop or pick up 300+ pounds of momentum. Maybe he aimed his fall but he didn't set out to spear Murray in the back that play.
And the face mask thing is the biggest piece of cry baby BS I've ever heard in a football game. It was obvious from the second it happened that their face masks locked up. Anybody who's played even little league football has seen that happen before.
Even if he did do that on purpose, boo freaking hoo, Murray got a scratch on his pretty face, so what? Maybe Fairley wrestled in HS. Anybody who did knows you take advantage of any little dirty thing you can. Including rubbing chins and knuckles on pressure points when your wrapped up. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't carried those techniques with me to other sports, and anybody who isn't pushing the rules and taking advantage of every single legal tactic they can to win doesn't want to win enough.

You're either trolling hard or have your Barner Blinders on. Either way you're wrong.

That may be true for the play where he dove at Murray's knee, but you cannot possibly believe this about the play where he speared him in the back

You are such a moron. Ben Jones was suspended by the SEC for diving and hitting a player on the opposing team in the back of the knees. Since the other player never saw it coming, I guess we can all agree Ben Jones is a tPOS

You're blind to reason beyond anything but UGA good, AU bad. Most of your fans are though, so I wont hold it against you. Anything Sainy Richt says is canon, amirite?

No, we all watched the same game.

BowlJackson is a poor man's Auburnphan.
All of the UGA/Bama obsession and insecurity with a sprinkle of creepy Jeremy Pruitt obsession added.

If he did that, then yes - he's a TPOS. Getting a hand full of dreads isn't what makes him one though.

Must have missed my previous post where I call Ben Jones thuggish. I'm sure there were dirty plays all around that game, but Fairly's were pretty blatant. On top of that, you call Murray a crying bitch when it's now known that he played with a broken sternum.

IIRC, he injured Fletcher Cox's ankle on a clipping call with like a minute and a half left in the game with UGA already up big.

I'll be the first to say Nick Fairley was a dirty player, and he was pretty egregious that game. Dude was dumb.
I at least like to see fans admit it.

I often wonder how many guys on this board actually played any football beyond Upward flag football. Defensive lineman and offensive lineman all play dirty. It's part of the game from HS all the way to the NFL. Yes, there are instances when it gets out of hand, but for the most part it's just part of the game. I would want Fairley and King both on my team. You need some borderline psychotics on the line.

Having Fairley and Jones on the same team would be pretty legit. It'd be like having a Bash Brother in each side of the ball. You would rustle all the jimmies.
