He wasn't. And even if you think he was - again, not a single team in the NBA would take him over Beal - it was at the very least close. Even in PER, which like most index statistics oversimplifies the big picture, they're only separated by like a point. And Beal has played much better of the two in the playoffs.

To say he was much better is wrong. To say he's a better prospect is ludicrous.

Mo Williams is still the best bama has to offer. But he did drop 52 in a game this year.

Much better was probably too strong, but even after looking over some numbers I think it's fair to say Middleton had the better season. The TS% differential is big at the SG position and the effective FG% differential is big as well.




Not the better prospect but I think Beal took a step back from last season although he has been better in the playoffs.
