2001 Miami played a shitty schedule and championship opponent and so did 2011 Alabama. I'd put 2009 Alabama above both of them.
People only remember how much NFL talent Miami had and forget how weak the schedule was that year. Alabama played a Top 20 VT, #2 Florida (final), Texas in the championship, and other serviceable opponents. Games were close here and there, but ultimately, that was a hell of a team. Would've squashed both squads.

People probably don't remember how weak the schedule was because it was one of the top 5 toughest schedules of the BCS champs.

Miami would have demolished any of Saban's Alabama teams. Furthermore, they are the best team to ever play. (.)
