The Nashville Tennessesn newspaper actually got their hands on this letter and printed on the front page of their sports section and the NCAA still did nothing about it.

Hell you had four players go on HBO and admit being paid by auburn/auburn boosters and the NCAA did nothing

You bammers are so dumb. Pat White claimed to have receive a new Corvette from bammer which has 10 times the value of anything those HBO players claimed to have received, yet the NCAA has never done anything about those charges either

Yeah that wasn't what Pat White meant at all.
"My statement was that I am still glad I turned down a Corvette from the Crimson Tide to become a Mountaineer -- which is not at all saying the University of Alabama offered me a car,".... I wasn't saying Alabama offered me a car."

Yeah you are a moron because he never backed away from his claim of being offered a Corvette to play at bammer. Just claimed the offer didn't come from a bammer coach, but the offer doesn't have to come from a coach

What is hard to get past is that Cecil turned down $180K from MSU to play at AU for free. It is hard to logically make that argument.

I hear you. Sounds reasonable.

Cam along with Nick Fairley made it a memorable season

While AU doesn't win it all without Cam, I don't think they would've won it all without Fairley either. Cam was their MVP/catalyst, but Fairley was just as important to AU's defense as Cam was to the offense...

You could probably call it one of the greatest seasons in CFB history and no one would disagree with you.

Unfortunately this!! That guy was a damn football demi-god... Glad he was only there for one year....

That Iron Bowl comeback and him poon-tanging around like one of those show folk fa&s, after the game still stings...

Good thought, but let it be TigerNMiami instead. auburnphan is going to die of a stroke or brain aneurysm any day now.

TIM has really called down in his old age. Im my opinion, he is one of the more knowledgable Auburn posters these days.

Not the same guy he use to be

Well when you look at the actual facts and realize the $180k at MSU was never there in the first place it's a lot easier to see. According to the MSU people the one booster told Cecil he could get him $180k to sign with MSU but when he booster went around to he other boosters with his hands out to gather up the money they shut him down and went to the staff and administration at MSU who turned the matter into the NCAA. End of story.

Logically why would Auburn counter offer an offer that didn't actually exist? When Cecil realized he was never going to get any money out of MSU he let Cam choose the school that was the best fit, which was AU.

To be fair, The Bahr taught them that years ago. It's not completely their fault.
