Englebert was on deck and knocking the cover off the ball. A 2 out single ties the game at 7. Buttermaker could have put in a pinch runner like Tanner who sat the inning. The Yankee's pitcher was throwing balls like crazy at that point as well. Walked 2 and would have been a mess after giving up a 7-3 lead needing only 1 out for the trophy.

What the frick was Boilermaker thinking?

Tanner is one of the top ten fictional characters of the 20th century. Hard to find clips to post withoutgetting banned.

Some of the greatest movies ever, me and my little league team are in the second movie. We were one of the teams playing in the background when they were practicing at Bayland Park in Houston.
