What is currently the best rivalry in the SEC? LSU and Bama jumps out but it has been a bit one sided lately. Also, with the Chavis switch LSU and A&M may heat up. UGA and UF has been good lately, USC vs UGA is usually competitive, and if I am not mistaken Arkansas and Missouri don't have much love for one another. The iron bowl is always a grudge match and has had some very entertaining games lately. So who do ya think?

Iron Bowl, no doubt.
Also, according to LSU they don't have any rivals.

I actually kind of like Missouri. I understand them. They're practical people.

You are kidding right? Auburn-Alabama. The Iron Bowl has been crazy the last several years, and of course has history going back to the 1800's.

Agreed. LSU/Bama was great but it has been one sided as of late
Iron Bowl is probably the best. Hoping for UGA/UF series to get good again as well as I like both teams.

What constitutes the best rivalry? Back about 16, 17 years ago Finebaum claimed that FSU-UF was the best rivalry in the country. His basis for this was the national championship decides this. THat is a big name but not exactly the "best" rivalry.
As far as two teams and fanbases go in college sports the Iron Bowl is right up there with anything. There is not a more intense, meaningful nerve racking game. If you are not a fan of either school you dont see it but thats not what constitutes a rivalry. A rivalry is developed between 2 schools. THe outside world doesnt matter.
BAMA-LSU is a good game with intensity but as far as hate thats all one sided.
Same with Ole Miss-Bama. State-Bama. UT-Bama is big because of tradition.
As far as fanbases, teams and schools hating each other equally the State-Ole Miss game is the only SEC rivalry that would compare to the Iron Bowl.
The Iron Bowl, in the SEC is, was and will be the best rivalry. THere isnt anything close to that game to us. What Arkie or LSU fans think doesnt matter. This is between Bama and AU. If you havent lived it you can't understand it. You have no concept of what that game does to you.
