There is nothing in police training that tells them to follow what this cop did in the video.
But it happens too often and too often the cop's narrative would have gone through unquestioned and even vigorously established by the PD. In this case, the cop screwed up by getting his story out there too fast.
My suggestion to anyone that films a police shooting...take it immediately to an attorney and instruct him to wait until the cop locks himself into a story before providing it to LE.

Ya but if he gets found guilty then then there is a clear "see we put away the bad ones moment"
I mean think about it, the general uproar about this isn't in the same ballpark as ferguson. No clear as day video means probably no indictment and it likely leads to a much bigger response.

There is plenty in the policeman's psyche or something that facilitates this kind of action.
The advent of cameras in everything from phones to grapefruit have brought this to public viewing. But you won't convince me it just started.
If there had been no video of this, we'd have had a guy who'd been arrested multiple times before who finally snapped and tried to kill a police officer. And the police officer, fearing for his life, responded with deadly force.
And every pro-law-enforcement type saying that the video is disgusting and reprehensible would instead be saying "don't resist" and "play stupid games."

There wasn't an attempt at convincing.

DA's office evidently isn't in on it as they charged the policeman. A no bill would have been much more effective at stoking racial animus.
There is clear video of a fleeing man being shot.
There is absolutely no way he couldn't be charged.
A white cop is casually firing successive shots into an unarmed, fleeing black person -- that's the juice of this, the power of this visual should enrage black people, and it will.

I would guess it's highly unlikely he is convicted of murder. He may be convicted of a lesser crime. But juries just give cops a lot of leeway.

I don't know what they could charge him with but he will get something pretty heavy or the anti cop people have the ultimate ace in he hole

Correct. You never give any legs to your conspiracy ideas. They're just random blobs of ideas for people to project onto them whatever they wish. It's far more effective than an actual theory of what happened which will instantly be proven incorrect by facta.

Well holy shite this thread took a turn as I caught up. Should have caught up before posting.
So we have a fake cop shooting fake bullets at a fake dead man with fake family witnesses? And I'm assuming either the cop gets acquitted or he's been paid handsomely to do some time in jail? Or better yet...maybe they have something on his mom and to buy her freedom he's giving up his for the sake of the conspiracy?

Cops walk all the time after gunning people down. I posted a link in this thread where a cop was found to have shot a guy unlawfully and he got charged with a misdemeanor.
Kelly Thomas' beating is all on tape. The officers all walked.
It's just the normal of the now. We, as a general populace, idolize policemen and and are inclined to think they're above reproach.

You're just looking at this wrong. Not surprising given your plebeian mindset. Once you have evolved to my stage of consciousness, you will understand the details are of tertiary importance.

There isn't anything more powerful at this point in time than video of a white officer unloading into a black person, unjustly.
That's what they produced.
You hit the body, and the head. You hit with the left, and the right. This isn't Ferguson 2.0, this is prime time, see it for yourself racist police aggression.
Please, the camera man running frantically, stopping and focusing just in time. The casualness of the cop. The impeccable timing of this. And these are just the intuitive things from the visual.

Without it being in video, the man would still have bullet holes in his back.

I'm not gonna pretend like I know either way. I just think it would have been a more effective plan if they had just murdered someone and leaked information or had fake witnesses and just done the same thing in ferguson. If he gets found not guilty one side would win a lot of converts, me being one of them.

I would be unsurprised to see the usual cop defenders tell me how that could have happened because the cop did everything right.
We have a video of a kid sitting at a picnic table, cops pulling up and shooting him and cop defenders with 2,000 reasons it was a good shoot. And that was on video.
Posted on 4/8/15 at 10:52 pm to the808bass
It doesn't matter what cop defenders would say. Forensics and ballistics should be enough to convict the cop in this case. The fact that it's on video is just an added bonus

But but but he had a toy gun, he should have thrown himself to the ground in that .04 seconds he had after the cops pulled all the way up on the grass instead of on the street and securing the area. Kid was asking for it if you as me. He's 12 or something. He knows about stupid games.
