Great thought on the Harrison situation.

I don't support him or what he did but hear me out.
If the roles were reversed it would equal Kaminsky calling him a cracker. If Frank called him that would anyone call for kaminsky to get expelled? the simple answer is no, I'm pretty sure Kaminsky wasn't mad when he said that, I mean all the white guys I know like it when they are called the n-word, and trust me I am around a ton of them. White and Hispanic teenagers use this word a lot. It is dissapointing to see people call for the expulsion of the young man, I mean he didn't intend to say it out loud. Are we talking about Frank calling a black guy the N word, or him calling a black guy a honkey/cracker? Harrison's comment made no sense and isn't an issue. Just because it may be an issue if the roles were reversed does not mean we need to have faux outrage because of some double standard. The more people bitch about things like this, the more PC our society gets. Frank the tank is smart enough to not get caught up in any of this crap.
I don't see how this is comparable to the mo'ne or the SAE situation, I mean really calling a white guy the nword, or calling the black guy the nword. Calling a white guy a cracker or calling a black guy a cracker. Can anyone understand where I'm going with this?

Tired of the threads on this at this point, tbh.
I agree with you, but the discussion has gotten stale/stupid at this point.
Even the protagonists in this little saga didn't think it was a huge deal, yet here this board is wasting a perfectly good Monday blabbing on about it and being mostly wrong

It wasn't racist, it was ignorant. I feel as if some of my white bretheren are just trying to play the victim here.

There would be 24/7 talk on ESPN and CNN about how cracker is a new racist slang word for black people, not white... If the roles were reversed and Kaminsky call a black player ANY type of slang word he would be lucky to get drafted. period.

I'm pretty sure if frank said f that cracker nobody would call him racist, they would say he is clasless but nobody would scream racist, but somehow it's different for Harrison.

Another interesting thing to see would be what if Harrison said it in a somewhat complimentary context
"That n***a is good"
How many people would lose their mind over that? Probably not many

I hear what you are saying but nobody really gives shite if you call a white guy a cracker either. It's hard to call a white guy much of anything that will spark any real outrage.
I don't think anyone really thinks the Wisconsin player is offended or even should be offended. People are just using this opportunity to expose some of the silliness around the status/use of the n-word in our society. It's an honor to be called it, it's horrible to be called it, it's not a big deal, it's such a big deal nobody will even type it out, etc., etc. It's fascinating when a word can change meaning solely based on the color of the person speaking it.

I think he should be in trouble for the f bomb during interviews. That's about it.

And don't forget the last white athlete to get caught saying the n word is still making bank playing the sport he loves.

Please don't have anymore of these. You're giving this whole board cancer.
