I don't see how I cherry picked anything. That is quite literally what happened. If anything, you're cherry picking. Or at least arguing over technicalities. All I did was point out an obvious fact.

The thing about most of these "mid-majors".....basketball is king there. The upper echelon mid-major guys can hold out for a top job. Money aside, bama just is not a top job. IMO, they are going to need to find the best up and comer available.

He is now a top 20 paid college coach (not basketball coach, just coach). He's the 6th highest paid college basketball coach (according to what I could find, he might be just behind Izzo, which would make him 7th) in the US and the highest paid basketball coach without a National Championship.
So the "mid-major" distinction is largely irrelevant.
