After Tyndall added 8 scholarship players to the roster in April and May last year, looks like we are in for another big spring of roster fun. Some names have already been thrown out and there is already talk about some of Tyndall's slaw being told to look around.

If somehow we got Davis that would be huge. PG and 2 big men are biggest needs.

How have y'all not lost scholarships because of the APR?
The player turnover must include multiple graduates over recent years that help out the total number.
Pel had Arkansas screwed up so bad that Mike couldn't purge the roster when he arrived or add pieces that he needed for a like two years.

Barnes says he will not pursue Eric Davis.

We had a large senior class on our Sweet 16 team last year and also lost 4 Cuonzo signees. None of that hurts your APR. Only transfers, which we haven't had that many of (only 3 I believe in the last handful of years).

If we can get on the radar of an athletic big I'll be ecstatic. A PG or two wouldn't hurt either.
Have they mentioned anything on his current relationships with any players/recruits?

Schofield's AAU coach is very good friends with him. Sounds like Schofield is in for sure. Haven't heard anything on Phillips.

Saw some rumors of Owens transferring? Might have been before the hire tho, actually think he has some potential. Might as well tell Carmichael to look around, that dude isn't going to be much and he seemed married to the idea of playing for Tyndall.

Tennessee will attempt to get involved with Tyler Harris (brother of former Vol Tobias Harris). He named Tennessee as part of his top 10 today.
Thorne and Lee will also be Barnes targets, but they are expected to be very highly recruited.

Sounds like he will stay now that Barnes has been hired.
I am with you on Owens. I think he and McGhee can both be pretty solid. McGhee's injury killed us.

Renard Owens, Tariq's father, said Tariq met w/ new Vols coach Rick Barnes today. Felt he might be recruited over. St. John's a possibility.

Interesting quote, unless you guys land a good grad transfer it seems that Owens with a off season would have been in line to be the starting C. Good luck to the kid.

New Tennessee head basketball coach Rick Barnes is in just his third day on the job but he already is significantly upgrading the Vols’ recruiting efforts. He appears to have a good shot at landing three highly touted players when the spring signing period commences April 15.
They are:
-Ray Kasongo, a 6-foot-9, 235-pound junior college power forward from College of Southern Idaho.
-Kobie Eubanks, a 6-foot-5, 210-pound shooting guard from Elev-8 Sports Institute in Delray Beach, Florida.
-Marcus LoVett, a 5-foot-11, 165-pound point guard from Morgan Park High in Chicago.
-Eric Bossi

You should bring this breadth of knowledge to the basketball discussion thread I'm trying to get rolling on our board.
It's good to see us going after guys with legit offers again.

Tennessee expected to hire Charlotte assistant Desmond Oliver.
Oliver coached grad. transfer Mike Thorne at Charlotte. Thorne is the best big man on the transfer market.
