We just need to be able to run the ball for a first down when we need one on 3rd and short

I think that's possible if new coach Christensen develops the ground attack as anticipated

So Les being inept at offense is why Chavis did well at LSU. Got it.

Meh. Didn't USC and tu average like 55 ppg in 2005? Both went undefeated til the final game with good defenses that sent tons of players to the NFL. By the nature of our offense, our defense will be on the field be more, but if it's a good defense it won't matter.

Chavis had great defenses during the '95-'98 seasons when Tennessee actually had good offenses. Tennessee went 45-5 during that stretch.
