But I can honestly say I dont think negatively about someone for smoking pot.
Even the synthetic stuff?
Point being is both Honey Badger and Geno Smith acted irresponsibly and in a way that wasn't fitting to their respective programs. Two DUIs means that Geno has a problem just like HB has a drug problem. If it's "just pot" then why couldn't he stay away from it to stay on the team? Why did he fail the LSU team by continuing to do something that he knew he could get kicked off the team for?
And why did Les Miles set the threshold for failed drug tests set so high? Did Les Miles really come across as a disciplinarian in that case? "Tyrann, I know you've had 8 failed drug tests, but if you fail three more you are off the team."
What programs allow players to have double digit failed drug tests before getting rid of them?

Listen to Saban's press conference. No doubt he sets the bar high for how many violations they can get away with.He says he doesn't let y'all know how many they have failed. That is why he is so surprised everyone thinks 2 DUI's is grounds for dismissal.

What about Les? We already have an actual number for the amount of failed drug tests that he is okay with before he gets serious.

How can you say that without knowing what he was smoking. Every single bag of spice is different

chattabama sees no difference between failed drug tests for marijuana and DUIs. Just like he sees no difference between his cousin & his sister.

So what? LSU routinely looks the other way around crimes, academic suspensions, etc. Depends on how much Les Miles thinks the player can help LSU in the long run.
To me, all of these issues are basically the same -- a sign a kid can't do what he's supposed to do. It's not hard to stay out of trouble and do what you're supposed to do. But all programs turn a blind eye to it at least once. Just depends on how good the player is or can be.

I'm sure Dre Kirkpatrick only started smoking right after he got out of school, heh?
This is a dumb thread all the way around.
