I think for most places that is true, but I think it would take a little bit to get used to, even if you are on the road often, if you come from some mega city like LA or NY

Ben Howland grew up in a town much smaller than Starkville LINK I am quite sure he knows how small town life is.
Not everyone wants to live in a megalopolis
