the first two hours of my day have to be spent in darkness cause some lazy old prick couldn't wake up at a reasonable hour. Pathetic.

I will not stand for this injustice, the winds of change arise

Yeah, not a fan. An extra hour of sunlight in Florida in August in Orlando is not my idea of a good thing.

That's not quite how it works.

As to the OP, sorry but Daylight savings time rocks. Should be on it year round.

Nothing wrong with DST, it's the change that sucks. Pick one or the other and stick with it.

I would expect no other sentiment from the likes of you. The lazy and entitled never know what is really out there

Gives me more time in the evening to get a good table at Piccadilly, sit in the park feeding the pigeons, pull ear and nose hairs on the way back to The Home, all before dark.

So you want it to get dark at 3 pm in the winter

The "fall back" time has the sun set earlier in the winter. It does mean the sun will be up at a reasonable hour though. I say stick with standard time and be done with it.

What they should do it is just change the time every day so that that is set at 5 am

Except for the first week of it when my intern I know adjusting, I love it. We should do away with the falling back in October. That one is dumb.

Well pardon me for liking to have time to cut the grass, feed my flock of chickens, and work in the garden in sunlight after I return from a full day's work.

In your case, I don't really know why it matters. You can watch porn in the daylight just as well as you can in the dark.

Fair enough.

How about this for radical, everyone sets their clocks to GMT. Universal time for everyone.

Sorry you're condemned to live in the wastelands instead of God's country.

Here in God's country even on DST year round, the earliest sunset would still be after 4 - but even if it was 3 in the winter it wouldn't bother me. It isn't like you're doing a lot outside then anyhow.
