You should learn to use "resembles her" rather than "just like her."

Fox and other 'conservative' news outlets give media a balance it didn't have before. The idea that news media somehow only became biased recently is revisionist history. The media has been biased toward liberalism for a solid 80 years, and before that the political divisions as they are today were unrecognizable. The only thing that has happened is that we now have other outlets such as Fox or the internet to compare to the NYT or NBC.
Amen. Our news media have been so biased [to the left] for so long that most Americans hadn't realized they were biased. You were born unto a bias. Your parents were born unto it. It didn't seem biased to most anyone. It was what it was. You naturally assumed it had ever been thus. Like you once assumed that people had forever done their shitting indoors.
Go back far enough and you'll find multiple newspapers in every substantial city, all of which were obviously biased, many of which openly referred to themselves as "Chicago's First Republican Newspaper" or "Boston's Finest Workers' News Source", etc. In the old days you chose and bought the paper you wanted to read, the one that reflected your politics, the one that fondled your fancy. Somehow or another the left prevailed. They snagged up ABC, NBC, and CBS. By the time America was getting most of its news from TV-- and using newspapers to line the birdcage-- the left had us where it wanted us. And few were the wiser.
In fact, about the only dudes who were screaming "Media Bias" in say 1960 were the crazy old coots tagged "nazi sympathizers" and "jingoes" and "grumps". The "haters" of their day. It being ABC, NBC, and CBS who were doing the tagging.

I worked in newspapers for a brief time during and after college. Without question, "straight" news reporters lean left. They enter the world of "journalism" to allow a platform to espouse their ideas, by and large. If you lean right, there's much more incentive to enter the business world, or, gasp, combine media and business with your own empire, a la Beck/Carlson/Limbaugh.
I don't watch Fox News often because I can't stand the sexual deviant O'Reilly, nor do I like the sanctimony of Hannity. For straight news, I like AJAM, BBC, and C-SPAN. But I'm pretty much straight down the libertarian platform. I watch MSNBC and read Salon.com and the social Kinja platforms just to better know my enemy.

I've heard the O'Reilly haters call him a lot of names, but a "sexual deviant" is a new one. Do you have facts to back this up or is this just another ugly name he's called by his distractors? The fact that he gave a million bucks to the Wounder Warrior Program gives me reason to cut him a lot of slack. And this was brought up by a guest on his show, not him bragging about himself.

You serious, Clark? You don't remember the disgusting sexual harassment suit brought against him about 10 years ago? When he went into explicit, X-rated detail about what he wanted to do to an unwilling participant?
O'Reilly is a morally repugnant shitstain.

The libertarian platform has three legs but people seem to only care about one.

RoyalAir, sorry, puter issues apparently. Not able to open the link. Cliff notes, please. Was this suit settled & then sealed? This is the first I've heard of such claims, so I am curious & open minded about it.

Salon, et al, are very much of the opinion that certain personal freedoms ought to be infringed and removed. If the Left wants to restrict gun rights and insist that some apparatus be in place so as to restrict "privilege" at my expense, then what should I call them? I personally disagree with certain things that the Left hold dear, but I don't actively contribute to groups that would want to destroy or infringe upon those rights. Libertarians don't attempt to use the State as a means of force to exert their beliefs - the Left very much does.
I'm not sure how a group of people that are intently marching towards Marxist theory is anything *but* antithetical to Libertarian ideals. I'd like to hear your counterpoint.

No worries. Yes, the suit was settled, and within two weeks. The highlights:
2004 Sexual Harassment Suit brought by one of his former producers/staffers.
O'Reilly made unwanted sexual advances numerous times.
Discussed such things as threesomes, sexual fantasies, sex with Thai "girls", the size of O'Reilly's little Bill, and his use of a vibrator during masturbation.
Some of these conversations took place while O'Reilly's wife was home, pregnant with the couple's child.
Hey, if dudeman wants to slam pieces on the side and shove a vibrator up his butt while he jerks, whatever. That's between him and his wife. But to be a hypocrite on air about moral decay and decency is some BS.
