Butch is 2-0 vs Spurrier with two very bad teams for UT's standards.
Now Tennessee's roster is better than SCe's at every position on both sides of the ball due to his recruiting. Butch will skullfrick HBC in Knoxville this year, further cementing SCe's return to perennial cellar dweller status.

Believe me I know. Losing to bad teams like that twice in a row sucks.
You guys are just way too caught up in the Cult of Butch. His recruiting has been good but he hasn't proven much yet on the field. I get it, you guys have had a relatively recent fall from grace and are grasping onto any bit of hope at a return to relevance and his recruiting has brought back some excitement. You guys just need to tone it down a bit.
This will be the year if we see if Butch is legit or not, especially with SC and Florida probably not being that good.

2013 might've been the least talented VOLS team I've seen in my lifetime. Dumpster fire doesn't even begin to describe the roster Dooley left Butch. The 2014 team was THE youngest team in CFB, went 7-6 with one of the top 5 hardest schedules.
I'll take that all day. Of course he wasn't winning shite last year. We replaced all the starters on both sides of the ball due to Dooley's incompetence. You expected Butch to win the East because of one top 5 class?
Acting like there's no tangible results and that the aura of Butch is just smoke and mirrors is quite foolish coming from an SCe fan.
And I'm thinking we win 9 games this year so no, I don't think we are just trying to grasp at any hope of daylight. Tennessee football is on the upswing. Don't see how that's really debatable.
