Should Tennessee go ahead and fire Tyndall?

As bad as we looked this year, next year is going to be much worse.

Southern Miss has not even received a letter of allegation from the NCAA yet, which means that even if they received it today, Tennessee wouldn't know what Tyndall is facing until June 1st, at the earliest.

We cannot recruit with this NCAA shite hanging over us.

Best case scenario, he's completely in the clear, and we can be competitive in 2017. I think he's a good coach, but is he worth all this trouble?

It can always get worse.

Sure, that's why I'm saying, cut bait now and minimize the inevitable pain.

Yes, the Vols already have cause to.

Basically we could come away unscathed, no buyout to pay.

You lose Tyndall, I can not see a good coach taking that job. What a mess the Vols maybe facing if they have to cut the cord on Tyndall.

The only way you fire him now is if you KNOW he committed NCAA violations and you believe that it will harm UT for 3+ years.

He's outperformed expectations, as painful as that is. I think he has, at least. But I've been watching 8th grade girl level basketball from my alma mater, so it's hard for me to be objective.

You can always find a coach willing to take a 7-figure paycheck. It's ridiculous to claim otherwise.

OK, you fricking let a coach that got you to a sweet 16 run because y'all did not like him. On top of it, you may cut bait from a coach that has a black cloud.

Yep, I see coaches flocking for the gig. Just like the last time it was open.

It's gonna harm UT for the next 2 years regardless of whether he's clean or not. Right now, we have cause to fire him, and we wouldn't have to pay a buyout.

And couple that with the facilities they have, it's a very attractive job.

Lol. Cuonzo couldn't coach. That's why he got shuffled off. (Technically, he left before he would've been fired this year.)

Ags thought the same thing about Billy Kennedy.

That's when we learned the magic of illegally paying players. It works wonders. Y'all should try it (though I'm not sure UTenn has enough $$ to keep up with the likes of A&M et al)

If you have cause now, you'll have cause when the NCAA report comes out.

Kennedy got Stans. Stans is the reason for the recruiting.

But that goes back to the recruiting thing, they can't recruit with this cloud hanging over.
