With only the 4x400 left, Florida has the indoor track championship locked up. A&M in 3rd and might take 2nd, but it will take a big Arkansas meltdown to do it.

Ags win the 4x400 in a thrilling race over Florida. 3:03.75, which is pretty damn fast. 2nd fastest collegiate race ever, if I understood them correctly. Reporter to A&M's anchor: "What were you thinking entering that 4th leg?". Fast guy: "Run fast."

But it wasn't quite enough to catch Arkansas.
1. Florida 117
2. Arkansas 89
3. Texas A&M 87

(Tried to write those down as fast as possible from the broadcast and may not be entirely accurate, but Florida kicked arse and A&M was 2 points behind Ark for sure.)

A&M Women also finished 3rd. Someday somebody who knows is going to have to explain the difference between indoor and outdoor. A&M dominates outdoor but has never won an indoor championship. Is it more about building up towards the outdoor season, or is there really some fundamental difference between the two? Enquiring minds want to know.

How serious do they take indoor track? I ask because the Olympics, World Championships, etc, are all outdoor and all in the Summer. Most of these athletes train all year to peak in the Summer for those events. The NCAA Outdoor Championships are also in the Summer.

Then there are these indoor events that are in the Winter. They seem to get far less attention than Outdoor (outside of Arky fans on tRant). Do most athletes just consider this a training test or am I misreading it?
