Don't know what the right length should be but 10 is too long. I have been retired for a while now but each agency interpreted the laws differently. I worked in one where these laws were interpreted pretty strictly. Look at MDOC and problems they are having with no-bid contracts, the former commissioner going to the federal pen, etc.
I don't have a problem at all with employment agreements being limited to 4 years, though.

Wrong.

Civil law > common law.
