Lets change the sport and use Golf as an example.
After a round of golf each player checks his card and signs the card and approves his score. If the player hurries and does not really pay close attention and the card is found to be incorrect then the player is disqualified.

All golfers would not call this player a cheater only careless

Lol what? You can't be serious. So its okay to not follow the rules as long as you don't know them?
Ignorance of the law doesn't make you innocent. I didn't KNOW I couldn't have this ounce of cocaine, so you shouldn't arrest me officer!
I didn't KNOW I couldn't line up past the OL to get a head start, so please don't throw that flag ref!

That's such a bad example you used to. Anybody that's golfing beyond just a hobby and is competing shouldn't be so careless with something that could be so major. "Overlooking" a stroke could have a big impact on results. That's cheating whether or not you meant to or not. If the officials let that slide then what's to stop a golfer from "overlooking" a stroke and saying "oh my bad, I was just careless and forgot" if he happens to get caught.

Same with LSU. They signed this kid to an early financial aid agreement knowing damn well he wasn't solid but that they could get an advantage with unlimited contact. If they were just being careless then you need to hire somebody new to keep track of that stuff because they suck at their job. I don't buy that you didn't know anyway, because LSU self reported. Careless or not LSU still gained an unfair advantage in an ongoing recruitment and that is cheating.

The same school that paid Cam Newton is calling us cheaters for a minor rules violation?

You must be about ready to burst into flames....

You may be the biggest idiot allowed to post here.

I wasn't aware recruiting violations were a matter of law and order.

Coming from a Auburn Fan with the Cam Newton deal really are you calling LSU a cheater.
Comparing this to cocaine

It appears to me you are not a golfer, No golfer playing in a event would sign a incorrect scorecard. Everyone knows the score, typically a fellow golfer in the group keeps the score and many times they write the wrong score down either intentional or on accident. Just saying when the golfer signs the card he was careless and not cheating. You have no ideal what was going through LSU coaching staff on this case.

Not wanting to take a parting shot at Auburn fans but you have a hard head to miss the whole thread. Most comments are tying understand why and how this happened and my thought is Les Miles did the right thing when he found out someone contacted the recruit in question too much

If it makes you feel better call LSU a cheating team, I will assume you are a Bitter Auburn Fan and not a Auburn graduate
