At this point, I'm not even sure we will. That's why I made sure I said "It would be because I think we'd field the better team". I have 0 expectations as of now tbh.

I think we finally have the OL we've been waiting for, barring injury. we've dealt with a lot of injuries in the trenches, and this is one of the best group of skill players I've seen for LSU in a long time (offense).
I literally am not worried about any position on O exceot for the most important one I've said it before, but I think even slightly above average QB play and LSU is a top 5 team next year. ex: 2011
Defensively my only concern is LB and I think the talent is there, just unproven. Same for WR to be honest, but I'm less concerned with that because a lot of young guys got a lot of PT last year.
eta to be clear I don't think that today LSU is better than AU. I think that 100% depends on what happens at QB. Which is obviously a big deal.

I think I'll throw out my full expectations of Auburn right before week 1.
As Auburn fans, we should know about what the starting offensive unit will look like, but Will Muschamp's defense is a big change in philosophy from Ellis Johnson's and we don't really know what to expect personnel wise.

I feel as if both Auburn and LSU will go as far as their new QBs will carry them, which could be all the way.

What's the differences in philosophies?
eta I gotta go but will check later on

I look for LSU and Auburn to play in Atlanta for the SEC Championship.
Wiener take all.

What's the differences in philosophies?
Will Muschamp wants to run a defense with 4-3, 3-4 and 3-3-5 (with a BUCK rush end) principles (a lot of flexibility). However, he doesn't care much about size on defense and wants defensive backs that can play man.

Physical DBs are a hallmark of a Boom Defense. He puts a ton of them in the league too.

That data is old. Les Miles currently has 103 wins

Nope, we suck tDecline is real. We probably go 3-9 this year. No QB, lost our DC. We are done.

3 wins are you crazy?
We may be lucky to beat McNeese....

Not only do their quarterbacks suck per usual, but I can easily see their defense going back to the Gerry Dinardo and Curley Hallman days with Kevin Steele as the coordinator

so in other words you couldn't name 3 starters for LSU's defense

terrible comparison and phan doesn't know who Tepper is without googling
eta and at least Steele has coached in the SEC. Robb Smith was a very Arkansas-like hire. He had one good season at Rutgers.

They have no defensive coordinator and no QB.

Not going to lie and say I know the differences between their coaching, but after having successful seasons Dinardo hired a dud at DC and it led to his firing. Miles hired a dud at DC, will lead to his firing.

this matters why?

I agree, a coach who can turn the 78th ranked defense into the 10th ranked one is a very Arkansas-like hire.

I don't feel like doing this all night, but I think Robb Smith is a mediocre hire and I think Steele was a mediocre hire. The difference IMO is talent on each defense.
