Can someone enlighten me on who we're looking to fill Ball's spot. TIA

Per my sources, other than Hines Ward being announced as the new WR coach on Tuesday I don't know of any serious names floating around.

ETA: Stanford RBs coach Lance Taylor reported not coming. Strange.

ETA2: McClendon moved to WRs coach, Thomas Brown to coach RBs.

My sources have told me nothing, but that's not surprising considering I don't have any sources..

Will be interesting to see which names start popping up, someone will be walking into a dream job with Godwin and Co. plus Eason throwing lasers next year and beyond.

The prevailing theory amongst some message boards is that Thomas Brown would be brought in for RB's and McClendon would move to WR's. Personally I don't see that one. I think CBS is going to want his fingerprint on this hire. Some guys listed by 24/7 today were: Lance Taylor, Keenen McCardell, and Mike Groh. All had previous experiences with CBS.

WR Coach Candidates

No clue but we definitely need a stronger recruiter. Ball by all accounts is a good coach but we have not attracted the kind of receivers I like to see on our team; I like taller/bigger receivers with reasonable speed. I get that A.J. Green's don't grow on trees but it does seem like we haven't had a serious down-field threat at receiver/someone who can stretch the field, since Green. Granted we have had some very solid possession type receivers and injuries as usual has certainly hampered our receiving core. Fortunately we weren't as dependent on the passing game last season with a Chubb and an fine overall running game.
